The Twelve Week


21st June 2010,

- install tube for 2 WAP machine.
* green tube for extend and yellow tube for retract.
* 12 green tube and 11 yellow tube need for 1 WAP machine.
* the tubes need to be long enough to connect the device net with the component part that move using air.
- install tube for ARIRI.
* 5 green tube and 4 yellow tube need for 1 ARIRI machine.
* the tube connected according to label from the device net.


22nd June 2010,

- assemble nest for WAP.
* nest is the place where the disk will be whack to be cleaned.
* the disk will be hold tightly at nest by clamping it before it is whack.
* there are 2 nest that is at zone 4 and zone 5 because for 1 WAP machine can process 2 disk at a time.
- reinsert the tube to the nest.
* the movement at nest are controlled by air, the tube is where the air flow to extend or retract.


23th June 2010,

- assemble nest for another WAP machine.
- reinsert the tube to the nest.


24th June 2010,

- install cover for WAP machine.
* rhombus are used because the screw does not have it trait but the rhombus clamp the cover.
- check input output for WAP.
* input output need to be check so the wiring and the tubing are correct.
* if the wiring are lose or not connected the input output check can also detect it.
- install conveyor for WAP machine.


25th June 2010,

- take out ARIRI's converyor.
* readjust the position of sensors at the conveyor so the emitting sensor is parallel with the receiving sensor.
* the emitting sensor emitted an infra red light to the receiving sensor so when the disk block the light, the sensor will detect it.
- drill WAP cover.
* the hole for the screw is not properly align so it need to be drill to larger it to make the screw fit in.

The Eleven Week


14th June 2010,

- wiring light box ARIRI.
* the cable for light box is two core wire, one is life and the other is ground.
* for life it is label with 0060401 and for ground is label with 0030301.
* the cable is connected to terminal block.
- replace prism mirror for ARIRI.
* the mirror damaged due to aligning the datum.
* prism mirror used to deflect image from ramp to the camera to be scan.
- align part lift for ARIRI.
* part lift need to be correctly placed to lift the disk to it correct place.


15th June 2010,

- i took a day off.


16th June 2010,

- i took a day off.


17th June 2010,

- i took a day off.


18th June 2010,

- tidy up WAP ionizer.
* use cable tight to tie the wire nicely.
* the wire need to be check it length so it is long enough to connect to ionizer controller.
- wiring wire for relay on ARIRI.
* relay function as connector where it connect two wire from different sources.
- take out conveyor of ARIRI.
* it need to be readjust because of the sensors that not placed correctly.

The Tenth Week


7th June 2010,

- help Mr. Jon setup Ariri.
- wiring WAP blower to AC power supply.
* print label and put in the wires correctly.
* strip the wire and clamp it with Y-terminal.
- wiring relay with terminal block.
- label the wire correctly.


8th June 2010,

- wiring relay for another WAP machine.
* print and labeling th wire.
- put the conveyor on WAP.
- put the back cover WAP.
* use the rhombus and M8 screw to place the cover.
- put fitting to the vacuum tube.
* all the vacuum tube from cylinder and part lift are assemble to one end.


9th June 2010,

- help Mr. Jom setup ARIRI.
* tidy up ARIRI wires.
* take out part lift to check tie wiring if anything wrong.
* change the wire at address D25I:0.6 to D25I:0.7.
* check any lose wire that is not clamp properly.


10th June 2010,

- solder diods to solenoids.
* six diods are soldered together and then soldered to the wire from solenoids
* shrink cable must be put before it is soldered to solenoid.
* used the blower to shrink the cable.
- put stand for laser controller.
* the stand is actually for APCBA machine.
* the stand is installed because the cable can not be fit in due to space that is limited.


11th June 2010,

- put stand for laser controller for another ARIRI machine.
- put blower on WAP machine.
- assemble tube on the blower.
- put cable for light box ARIRI's.

The NInth Week


31th May 2010,

- assemble component part for datum ARIRI.
* assemble prism glass.
* reassemble sensors for cylinder.
* align the prism glass.
* align spotlight to be correctly placed so it can point the ramp.
* assemble ring light on datum.
* assemble light box.
- assemble datum on conveyor.
- adjust the alignment of the conveyor.


1th June 2010,

- wiring ARIRI's datum.
* wiring the light box.
* light box is the power supply for laser.
* wiring fiber optic to terminal block.
* used molex clamper to clamp molex with wire.
* used two core wire to connect the fiber optic and the ring light.
* insert the molex to molex head.
* molex head has two type that is male and female.
* connected the head and the wire will be connected.


2nd June 2010,

- assemble the part lift on conveyor.
* lift the conveyor to install the part lift.
* align the part lift so it is properly placed.
* tidy up the wire so the part lift can fit in without damaging the wire.
* screwed the part lift.
* screw must be screwed to the nut that already placed on the conveyor.


3rd June 2010,

- do tubing for ARIRI,
* some tube are misplaced and need to be corrected.
* the tube are connected to part lift ,cylinder and crowder bias.
* then it is connected to device net.
* for ARIRI there is two part lift that is at zone 2 and zone 5.
* the tube is yellow and green for retract and extend.


4th June 2010,

- tidy up ARIRI.
* placed the wire nicely and put cable tight.
- wiring the sensors from the cylinder.
- the cylinder at pogo block and laser detector.
- connect the laser controller cable.

The Eigth Week


24th May 2010,

- install part lift on ARIRI
* part lift is the component that lift the disk to the correct position to be scanned.
- assemble conveyor for ARIRI
* conveyor is the part where datum is placed and the hardisk went through to be process according to the type of the machine.
- wiring sensors cylinder for ARIRI.
- wiring WAP
- used rimer to large the hole for dowel pin to fit in.


25th May 2010,

- wiring WAP terminal block with sensor cylinder.
- drill WAP component part.
- install din rail on WAP.
- install tube for another WAP machine.
- wiring the relay for WAP.


26th May 2010,

- prepare wire and wiring WAP.
- prepare tube for 4 WAP machine.
* cut green and yellow colour tube for extend and retract.
* prepare label for the tube according to the nest which is zone 5 and zone 4.
* make sure the tube was cut long enough to connect it with device net.
- wiring CPU's ARIRI.


27th May 2010,

- used rimer to rim WAP component part.
- install tube for WAP machine.
* yellow for retract and green for extend.
* tube need to control the movement of the cylinder.
- wiring terminal block for 4 WAP machine.


28th May 2010,

- wiring datum for ARIRI.
* datum for ARIRI consist of ring light, spotlight, prism glass, camera and laser detector.
* install spotlight on datum ARIRI.
* install ring light on datum wire it.
- install crowder bias on datum.

The Seventh Week


17th May 2010,

- repairing whack actuator.
* rewire whack actuator that not connected correctly.
- install tube for WAP machine.
* the tubes need to connect the nest at WAP with device net.
* device net control the air flow to operate the nest.
* nest function is to hold the hardisk so it can be whack efficiently.
- wiring other WAP machine.


18th May 2010,

- tidy up wire for WAP machine.
- assemble blower for WAP.
* blower function is to supply air to clean the disk.
- drill the cover for WAP.
* the cover does not has hole to put in the skru so it should be drilled.
- assemble datum for ARIRI machine.
* datum for different machine has different function.
* datum for ARIRI used to hold the disk as it will be lighted and the machine will scanned the ramp to measured the ramp space.


19th May 2010,

- continue assemble datum for ARIRI and install it to the machine.\
- prepare din rail,
* din rail is a rail that skru on the machine to place the terminal block, relay and input output terminal.
- wiring WAP blower.
* a long wire needed to connect the blower to the power supply.


20th May 2010,

- continue wiring WAP blower.
- wiring whack actuator for the componet that just arrived.
- tidy up wire for WAP machine.


21th May 2010,

- wiring another WAP machine.
* component that just install on WAP some of it need to wire to input output terminal.
- install cover for WAP machine.
- tidy up wire for WAP machine.

The Sixth Week


10th May 2010,

- tidy up wire for Leak Tester machine.
- install fitting for Leak Tester cylinder.
* fitting is like a socket to put in the tube.
* there are many type of fitting, some of them are:
~ Y fitting
~ L fitting
~ Straight fitting
- used rimer to larger the hole to put in dowel pin for WAP machine.
- change the main wire connected to portable safety outlet.


11th May 2010,

- install tube for Seal machine.
* put in the tube in the fitting for air to flow through.
- solder diods to solenoid for WAP.
* solder need tin to connect the wire with diods.
- assemble Seal component part.


12th May 2010,

- continue assembling Seal component part.
- tidy up wire for another WAP machine.
- install ionizer controller for WAP machine.


13th May 2010,

- solder doids with tho solenoid again for WAP machine.
- wiring and labeling for WAP machine.
* wiring the sensors from cylinders that just assemble to the machine.
* wiring relay with input output terminal block.
* wiring power supply to the relay.
* labeling mean put the address to the wire according to the input output terminal.


14th May 2010,

- solder wire to pogo block for WAP machine.
* four core wire need to be solder correctly according to the diagram.
* it is soldered to coppers that is slot in the pogo block.
- assemble component part for WAP nest.
* nest for WAP machine function as the holder for the hardisk before it is whack.

3th May 2010,

- install tubing for Leak Tester machine.
* violet tube with the size of 4 mm used.
* Y fitting used for the tube.
* cable tight used to tidy up the tube.
- assemble Seal machine component part.
- printing and labeling the tube for Leak machine.
* green function as extending the air and yellow function as retracting the air.
- assemble sensors on cylinder for Seal machine.


4th May 2010,

- install Seal machine component part.
* Seal is a machine that seal the hardisk from leaking.
- assemble utility component assembly for every machine.
* install fitting for utility component assembly.
* the fitting is L fitting with the size of 4mm, 8mm and 12mm.
- install dowel pin on stand plate for Seal machine.


5th May 2010,

- assemble machine component part for every machine.
* used mechanical diagram as reference to assemble the part.
- wiring the light for every machine.
* used four core wire to connect the light with input output terminal block.
* red, yellow, green and black colours of the wire must be connect correctly.
- prepare din rail for LN2 project machines.
- install sensors on cylinder for another Seal machine.


6th May 2010,

- help engineer arrange component that have just arrived.
- dumped the trash at the garbage place.
- rewire the wiring for End Effector.
* End Effectors used for TVCM, Latch, ARIRI, Spacer and Plug machines.
* it is used with the robot to install specified component according to the machine.
- moved base structure for LN2 project to assembly place.


7th May 2010,

- wiring component plate for APCBA machine.
- install relay on APCBA component plate.
- install RAM on APCBA CPU's.
- change new motherboard for APCBA CPU's.
- tidy up wiring for APCBA.
* used cable tight to tie wire together nicely.

The Fourth Week


26th April 2010,

I feel so lazy this morning, my leg was heavy giving me the sign not to go working today. Maybe because missing the weekend that was full of rest and peace...haahaha but i still going or else my salary will be cut. I work with different engineer today, that engineer is the one that Saufi work with. It's quite a release to work together with someone i know. While i was working, secretary there, Mrs. Sharifah inform us that we will receive our own tool box. That will really help to ease our work since we always have to search for tool before can do any work. Later, she came again to tell the tool will be given tomorrow. That's all today......


27th April 2010,

Today delight me a bit coz today i will hav tools of my own. I can imagine the new and brightening tools in a nice box being handle to me. At about 10.10am all trainee were called to gather at the warehouse. We were brief first about the tools and to take care of it very carefully coz if anything happen we will the one who will be responsible. I was shock at first hearing the cost for all the tools is almost RM400. That is definitely not the price i want to pay for causing any tools gone missing. Saufi and i were sharing the same tool box, quickly after received it we marked every tool we have so it is labelled ours. I can work faster now thanks to the tools. Ok, to be continue........


28th April 2010,

I continued working with Saufi today, we are working to finish the the machine called WAP. It is a machine that designed to clean the hard disk before it is screwed and test it endurance by knocked it a bit. We assembled many small component of the machine and this machine need a really careful work since is has a lot of small component. I do my OT and Saufi don't....


29th April 2010,

Contract workers here received their pay slip today. They were really stingy when i ask to see their slip. I knows it is private but like i don't know how much they're paid here. There are some of them who pay is higher than other since the company rented them from other company but anyway who want someone to see their pay slip...hahahhaha. As for trainee, we will received our check tomorrow....


30th April 2010,

Forgot to mention the engineer that i worked with named Firdaus and the one Saufi with is John. If compare i rather worked with John coz he's really friendly and an easy going person. He graduated from Monash University, Australia in Mechatronics engineering and just worked for about one and a half month. Although he's chinese, he likes to speak english more than his native tongue. He's very fluent in it and i feel quite embarrassed with my english when talking to him. Anyway, i am still working with him and i received my check today. It's not much but it will increase next month because i do a lot of OT...ahaha..OK...bye.........

The Third Week


19th April 2010,

Today i took a day off because today is the registration for industrial training. Since i don't register yet, i purposely took one day off although it only took 5 minutes to do it. I feel so happy because i can still rest for another day......huahuahua


20th April 2010,

All these week here make me want to puke seeing wire that knotted everywhere. Luckily, i am assigned to assemble machine part today. It is not a big part actually but only some important part for the machine to operate. It is not tiring doing it and importantly did not cause any pain like the wiring i use to do. Installing fitting, put the part at it place and tight the skru is some work that a lot more enjoying. All day long, i just sit on the chair and assembling. I finished all that assigned to me during my OT and go home.....



21th April 2010,

Same as yesterday, i do assembling again. The engineer praised me with my work yesterday and that boost my spirit to do my work. Nothing unusual happened today and i do OT as usual...




22th April 2010,

My friend Saufi bought an extra log book. So, because i am too lazy to go and buy at the shop i ask him to bring it here so i can buy from him. I am sure that i am one of those lazy student that did not do anything with their logbook yet. Internship program is more than 2 month to go, then i think it is okay if i don't do the report in the logbook for this three week.....hahahaha. Today is as usual and i continued with assembling again......


23th April 2010,

Friday is the happiest day and also the laziest day. As usual at 12.30 at the afternoon the muslims will be given longer break as they need to do the prayer and come back in on 2.15. For me i always enter at 2.30 as the lazy possessed me but did my OT anyway....to be continue..

The Second Week


12th April 2010,

After last week my mind can't stop thinking about money. Since my allowance is just RM300, i need to add more so i can buy something that i 've been longing. And the only way so i can get more is to do overtime and overtime and overtime. So this week is the week to make money money money.....hahahaha.



13th April 2010,

Overtime for trainee is RM5 per hour. Then i think it's just fine if i get RM20 per day, because of that i had to return home at 9pm everyday. 3 hour add to my working hour everyday is okay and not really tiring. Since my house is just 5 minutes away, this is really good and it's money time!!!!



14th April 2010,

My work now is not really electrical, i am assigned to do all type of work and this is fun. I feel more energetic nowadays and make my work less boring. At the end of the day, it's look like my bad luck from last week still didn't go away as my motorcycle puncture again and this time it's the back tire but nothing stopping me from achieving my objective.....




15th April 2010,

Today i arrived at 9.15am. As i enter the assembly room, all eyes are staring at me and all i can do is smile. This is all due to the tire that punctured last night but i was considered lucky because the motorcycle shop is just around the corner or else maybe i will not attend today. Not attending to work a day will cause my allowance to be cut RM10, that is something i definitely don't want to happen. Today there is not much work to do due to some component that did not arrived yet but i can still do OT because there is other machine other than my machine that need to assemble quickly.

The First Week


5th April 2010,

As what was email to me, the time to arrive at the company is 8.30a.m. Genetec Technology Berhad is located at Bandar Baru Bangi and it only took me about 5 minutes to reach there as my house is quite near. My mind always remembering the advice from my sister that is "the first impression is very important". So, i prepared early in case there is something unexpected happen and headed there about 20 minutes earlier. I arrived at 8.15a.m along with my other friend who also doing industrial training as i am. We were told by the receptionist at the counter to wait at the meeting room until further instruction. It took about a couple of minutes before Pn.Asnida the person in charge to brief us about our schedule to arrived. During the briefing we were told to always be punctual and the regulation is quite strict. Then we were escort by Mr. Patrick to our workplace. Mr. Patrick is the person in charged to assign us to projects that the company is operating. We were divided and placed with each instructor to guide us on our work. Straight away we were told to pursue our work according to our course we taking at Uniten. My work is to prepare the wire for the machine that they were working on. I was introduced with a few new tools during working and i am feeling happy since being able to learn new things. Preparing the wire is not hard but it is quite troublesome since it need concentration and need to be careful. I am able to make new friends with the workers and the engineers and they help me a lot with my work. We have lunch as time reach 12.30p.m at the cafe of the company located at the top of the building and then we continued with our work.
My friend and i leave at 6.00p.m but after reach my motorcycle, i was shocked to find that the back tire is puncture. WHAT A FIRST DAY!!!....huhuhu





6th April 2010,
The second day of my internship programme, i am beginning to use with my workplace. My work become easy as i know where is the component and tools located. Continued the work from yesterday, i am able to finish wiring 6 machine before lunch. What i did actually is only a simple wiring as i go through with the progress. I am a bit disappointed as the complex wiring of the machine were not be given to me to do because the engineer afraid if anything when wrong since i am still new. After lunch i continued with the wiring to finish a lot more machine. One of the machine that i did had some error as the wire that i connect was not tight enough and it when loose. Luckily, Mr.Chan the engineer that was checking my work just advice me to be more careful and he fix it back by himself. Today, i leave a bit late because there is a lot to do and i had to tide up all the mess i did. To be continue.......



7th April 2010,

Today i arrived at 8.30a.m, right at the time to clock in. Thank you Allah because my elaun will be deducted if i failed to arrive at 8.30a.m. We internship programme worker were introduced with new system today, where we were given each with our own number for the system. Then we were thought how to key in our number in the computer and given the name of our project. My project named LN2, it is actually a project to assemble machines to make hardisk for Western Digital. In the project there are 4 type of machines that operate differently to produce a hardisk. These machines are connected with each other and the hardisk will go through all the machines to be complete. We were also told to key in again before we leave. My work today is quite different than usual because i will be wiring the second type of the machine. Yet it still a simple wiring but it is a lot more work for one machine than the machine before. Pain started to struck my hand with the progress of my work because i had clamp a lot of wire and the climper is really hard to press. So, i worked slowly to reduce the pain. 8th April 2010,

I
am worried as i arrived today at 8.33a.m. Unexpectedly, my worried gone as my friend told me that the time to clock in is actually 8.40a.m because 10minutes added just in case. There is not much to say today because i am doing the same thing. Only 2 machines i am able to finish today since my hand still feel a bit pain from yesterday. I am really admired my friend because he always want to do overtime and often ask me to join him. Because i am afraid of my injuries get worsten, i refuse to join him. That's all todayy.........


9th April 2010,

Friday is the happiest day because tomorrow is off day...hahaha. Instead of doing electrical things, today i do mechanical. Because i am finished with wiring the machine and under some circumstances Mr.Chan is so buzy, i am quite free today. My leisure time end after i have been spotted by other engineer and were told to do mechanical things. But I feel really relief because i can escape from the climper that is very painful. Mr. Chi who is the mechanical engineer there ask me to assemble some of the component of the machine. At first, it is very awkward with the drawing of the machine and i had to refer to it. Not to mention the worker there is very helpful and they explain to me in detail. Then i find it is very simple and i can do it even with my eyes close....hahaha. Twist the spanar and put on the skru is not very hard just it become irritating when we have to find the skru ourselves and it not there. So, i had to go down to ground level and up again using the lift to search for the right skru. Then it end up the skru need to be order because it is out of stock. After that, i was ask to do other component of the machine. Luckily this time, the skru is not really hard to find and i can pursue with my work easily. But today i leave late than before, that is 6.34p.m because there is a lot to do with the machine component and really enjoyed it. Continue to next chapter.....
